The Will & Ann Eisner Family Foundation has announced plans for the annual Will Eisner Week, which will be held March 1-7, 2026. The theme for the event is “Read a Graphic Novel,” a message that will be promoted by participating comic stores, bookstores, universities and colleges, art schools, libraries, museums, and online. Last year, the event was celebrated with over 200 events worldwide.
In addition to general promotion of the graphic novel, sequential art, and free speech, all goals of the event, much of Eisner’s work is still in print and available to retailers. W.W. Norton has around 15 Eisner titles available, including the classic A Contract with God Trilogy. Newer products featuring Eisner’s work include the Titan Comics’ John Law collection, released earlier this year (see “’Will Eisner’s John Law’ Collected“), and the upcoming Darwyn Cooke’s The Complete Spirit Connoisseur Edition (see “Skybound To Distribute Act 4“), which will be released the week of the event.
Participating retailers and organizations will receive the Will Eisner Week Playbook, 18″x24″ posters, letter size flyers, and social media support. Sign-ups are available through the Will Eisner website.
