Ten Speed Graphic will launch a four-volume adaptation of Revolution Trilogy, the bestselling three-volume history of the Revolutionary War by historian Rick Atkinson, the company announced. Atkison is a multiple Pulitzer Prize winner, for journalism and history.
The series will launch with The British Are Coming: The Graphic Edition, Vol. 1 in both hardcover and softcover in June 2026, followed by Vol. 2 in Fall 2027. Those first two volumes adapt Atkinson’s first book, which sold over 250,000 copies across formats.
The British Are Coming: The Graphic Edition, Vol. 1will cover the battles at Lexington and Concord in Sprin 1775 through the siege of Boston in 1776. The adaptation will be written by journalist and author Nora Neus, with art by Italian graphic novelist Federico Pietrobon.
“Mr. Atkinson has redefined what popular history can be,” Ten Speed Press Publisher Aaron Wehner said in a statement accompanying the announcement. “His work captures the sweep of world events with the intimacy of lived experience, uniting impeccable research with deeply human storytelling.”
The 272-page volume will retail at $26.99 in softcover and 35.00 in hardback.
