The same serialized PSA 8-graded Golden Traveling Chocobo #22/77 card has sold four times in the last three months on eBay. This card was printed in the Magic: The Gathering – Final Fantasy set (see “‘Magic: The Gathering – Final Fantasy’“).
The first two sales of this population 1 of 1 card (PSA Cert #122400295) were handled via the PSA Vault on eBay. The PSA Vault allows buyers to purchase any card worth $250 or more that has a PSA Vault badge through eBay’s “Buy It Now” feature and have it securely stored (and insured) in PSA’s vault facility in Delaware. Once in the Vault, the item can be easily listed again on eBay and PSA handles the whole selling process for the seller (professional imaging, listing details, packaging, shipping, and customer service). The next buyer can choose to take delivery or keep the card in the PSA Vault.
On September 11, 2025, Golden Traveling Chocobo #22/77 was sold as a Best Offer deal for under the listing price of $75,000; this buyer kept it in the PSA Vault. Then, on October 23, 2025, the same card sells again for a “Best Offer” deal under the listing price of $65,000.
After the second sale, this rare bird appears to have escaped the PSA coop and headed to China, which is where things start to get strange. On November 11, 2025, the same card sold for $41,100.00 from a seller located in China with a “0” rating and no Authenticity Guarantee (axuechengquns). Finally, the same card sold on eBay for $5,100.00 from another seller in China with a “0” rating and no Authenticity Guarantee (uningxijied32).
If this is the same card, it left the PSA Vault and was sold at big losses. PSA did not respond to a request for more information on this card.
