KessCo will release a board game based on the One Piece anime with a four to six-hour play time, the company announced. One Piece: Dawn of Liberation, produced under license from Toei Animation and based on the country of Wano arc of the manga (Volumes 90-105) and anime, will be released in Q3 2026. The manga in the arc were released from 2018 to 2022, and the anime episodes were released from 2019-2023.
The game will be a cooperative board game in which players build crews from characters in the arc, who then work together to perform missions, gather resources, and recruit allies before confronting Kaido, the tyrannical emperor of the sea. The play system allows play to pause and resume at key plot points.
One Piece: Dawn of Liberation is for 1-4 players ages 14 and up.
