Marvel Comics will release a comic miniseries combining the Marvel Universe and Planet of the Apes, launching in February. Planet of the Apes vs. Fantastic Four will be written by Josh Trujillo, with art by Andrea di Vito and Erick Arciniega and primary cover by Greg Land.
The storyline puts the Fantastic Four on the Planet of the Apes, where they encounter Cornelius, Zira, Ursus, and Dr. Zaius. Villains from the Marvel universe also show up, setting the stage for a battle royale
Marvel got the Planet of the Apes license in 2022 (see “Marvel Gets ‘PotA’”). In addition to miniseries of new content, Marvel has also collected its early Planet of the Apes material from the 1970s (see “Marvel to Omnibize ‘Adventures on PotA’”). This combination will be the first time the two worlds have crossed over.
The first issue of the four-issue miniseries will drop February 4.
