Over 20 years since its debut, Capes returns with a special remastering, featuring new art and dialogue from the original creative team of Robert Kirkman and Mark Englert. Find all the new covers when Capes #1 flies back into comic shops on November 19th, 2025!
Reprinted for the first time since its release, fans and collectors will not want to miss the new monthly releases of Capes. This series is perfect for fans looking to discover every inch of the Invincible Universe as seen in the hit Skybound and Prime Video series, which continues to shatter records worldwide.

Welcome to Capes Inc, employers of your favorite superheroes that protect New York City – well, at least when they’re on the clock – from threats like MACHINE HEAD, TITAN…and now are in the crosshairs of an enemy they never expected!
Capes #1 features a lineup of covers by both Invincible series artists, contributing creator Ryan Ottley and co-creator Cory Walker. The list includes a main cover by Ryan Ottley, two open-to-order covers by Mark Englert, a 1:10 incentive variant by Cory Walker, a 1:25 incentive variant by Jahnoy Lindsay, a 1:50 incentive black-and-white variant by Ryan Ottley, as well as a blank sketch cover.
Fans can also look forward to all-new Capes stories that will be coming from another longtime friend of the Invincible Universe, writer Benito Cereno, alongside artist Mark Englert. Beginning in 2026 with issue #7, this revival of Capes promises to take fans even deeper into unexplored areas of the Invincible Universe.
