Asmodee will release Magical Athlete, a new edition of the cult classic board game by CMYK, which will hit retail on November 7, 2025.
This game is a new edition of the Japanese board game by Takashi Ishida that was first brought to the U.S. by Z-Man Games in 2010 (see “Board Games Flow“). In this game, players draft runners and compete in a series of chaotic races. Each athlete has their own special abilities, and in this edition, Richard Garfield has added new racer powers and rules. This updated edition also has new artwork as well as components.
Magical Athlete is for two to six players, ages 8 and up, and plays in 60 minutes. It will retail for $29.99.
