Yen Press announced Monster Eater: Delicious in Dungeonthe Board Game, which will hit retail May 2026.
This game is based on the bestselling 2017 manga series by Ryoko Kui (see “Yen Acquires Three“), which became an anime in 2024, where a hungry party of adventurers explore a dungeon looking for monsters for their dwarf chef Senshi to cook up in unique recipes. The new board game is a collaborative dungeon crawler for two to five players. Much like the manga and anime, players will head into the dungeon to find fame, fortune, and treasure, and along the way, they will be menaced by deadly monsters that, once killed, they will end up dining on.
The upcoming board game will be designed by Ginichiro Suzuki, who is a legend among Japanese game makers. Monster Eater’s mechanics are inspired by Suzuki’s most notable design, 1998’s Monster Maker.
