The DC Comics character Swamp Thing will cross over into the world of the best-selling BOOM! Studios series Something Is Killing the Children in Swamp Thing Is Killing the Children, a one-shot by the SIKtC creative team of James Tynion IV and Werther Dell’Edera. BOOM! made the announcement during New York Comic-Con.
“James and Werther have gone deep and created a story that’s just as ambitious as any of the other classics in the Swamp Thing library,” said Chris Conroy, Executive Editor for the DC Black Label imprint, in a statement accompanying the announcement. “I think fans of both the SlaughterVerse and of the darker side of DC comics are going to be shocked and delighted when they see what we’ve been up to!”
DC announced during its NYCC Vertigo panel that it will publish Rick Veitch’s Swamp Thing miniseries, which was canceled in 1989, under its Black Label imprint (see “DC to Finally Publish Controversial Rick Veitch ‘Swamp Thing’ Story“).
