Patrick Horvath’s cozy/horror series Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees took the Harvey Award for Book of the Year, and Blacksad, by Juan Díaz Canales and Juanjo Guarnido, won the award for Best International Book for the third year in a row.
The 2025 awards were presented at the Harvey Awards Ceremony on Friday, October 10, during New York Comic Con (see “Harvey Award Nominees 2025”).
In addition to the awards, six creators were inducted into the Harvey Awards Hall of Fame: The husband-and-wife team of Wendy and Richard Pini (Elfquest); Patrick McDonnell (Mutts, The Super Hero’s Journey); John Byrne (X-Men, Fantastic Four, Superman); Peter David (The Incredible Hulk, Star Trek, Fallen Angel); and pioneering New Yorker cartoonist Barbara Shermund.

Best Adaptation from Comic Book/Graphic Novel
Superman (DC Studios), directed by James Gunn. Based on Superman (DC Comics), created by Jerry Siegel & Joe Schuster
