Kodama announced new titles at its New York Comic Con panel.
Me and the Alien Mumu by Miyashita Hiroki is coming February 2026. There’s already an anime adaptation available on Crunchyroll, with a second season coming, of this sci-fi comedy involving cats and household appliances.
MAGICA by Yuzuko Hoshimi is due March 2026. Two full-color foil-accented volumes will contain this anthology of fantasy stories.
Sun-Ken Rock is the publisher’s big push for 2026. The series is by by Boichi, known here for the art for Dr. Stone (see “‘Dr. Stone’ Comes to Print“). Sun-Ken Rock is described as “high-impact, action-seinen storytelling” with “gritty atmosphere, mature themes, and emotionally charged character arcs” in an organized crime setting.
The series ran in serialized format from 2006-2016 and was collected in 25 volumes. Kodama is publishing the Perfect Edition, which puts approximately two of those into each omnibus volume. Each will have a redesigned cover exclusive to the English release, based on Boichi’s original illustrations. The manga has previously been available in English through digital services.
Kodama also reminded attendees of the previously announced Baki the Grappler by Keisuke Itagaki, now available, and Smile! by Mitei Hattori, coming January 2026.
