UVS Games recently revealed its 2026 UniVersus CCG product release lineup.
Next year will be a special year for UniVersus, as it marks the 20th anniversary of their CCG engine. The game engine was originally created at Sabertooth Games in 2006, passed on to Fantasy Flight Games and later Jasco Games, where it stayed from 2010 to 2022. It was revitalized by POW! Interactive in 2022 when they bought Jasco (see “POW! Interactive Acquires Jasco Games“), and used it as the engine for My Hero Academia CCG. The 2026 lineup includes the return of some IPs as well as some new IPs for UniVersus.
For returning IPs, UniVersus will release a new Godzilla booster set and a Tekken 8 booster set, which had both been previously offered as Challenger Series decks (see “2024 Lineup“). IPs returning as Challenger Series decks are My Hero Academia and Street Fighter 6: Part Deux. The new IPs to UniVersus include King of Fighters XV, as Challenger Series decks, and a Fairy Tail as a booster set.
More information on release dates will be forthcoming.
