Matt Kindt Moves Flux House Imprint to Oni Press

Matt Kindt and Oni Press have announced a new publishing and media partnership that will bring Kindt’s Flux House imprint to Oni.  The publisher has also acquired the media rights for over 20 Flux House properties and has plans to develop them for movies, television, video games, and other media.  Kindt will be the producer, working with Oni-Lion Forge Publishing Group Chairman David Steward II, who is also CEO of Oni parent company Polarity, Oni Publisher Hunter Gorinson, and Director of Development Jeremy Colfer.

Three new Flux House properties will launch in summer 2026. Mind MGMT: New and Improved, written and drawn by Kindt, is an ongoing series that will spin new stories in the world of Kindt’s original Mind MGMT and will launch in June.  Fort Psycho, by Kindt and artist Brian Hurtt, is a 12-issue series about a disgraced strike team sentenced to do time in an island fortress.  That series will debut in August.  And Flux House Presents will be a quarterly anthology featuring new work by Kindt and his collaborators; the first issue, scheduled for November, will include Spark, a prehistoric adventure story by Kindt, and Crime Travel, by Kindt and artist Jesse Lonergan.

The existing Flux House properties for which Oni has acquired the rights include the solo Kindt series 3 Story: The Secret History of the Giant Man, Red-Handed: The Fine Art of Strange Crimes, and Super Spy, along with Apache Delivery Service (co-created with Tyler Jenkins), BANG! (co-created with Wilfredo Torres), Crimson Flower (co-created with Matt Lesniewski), Ether (co-created with David Rubín), Fear Case (co-created with Tyler Jenkins), Gilt Frame (co-created with Margie Kraft Kindt), Hairball (co-created with Tyler Jenkins), If You Find This, I’m Already Dead (co-created with Dan McDaid), Mr. Mammoth (co-created with Jean-Denis Pendanx), Poppy & The Lost Lagoon (co-created with Brian Hurtt), Spy Superb (co-created with Sharlene Kindt), and Subgenre (co-created with Wilfredo Torres).

Kindt set up Flux House with Dark Horse in 2022 as a boutique imprint that would be the exclusive home of his creator-owned work (see “Matt Kindt to Launch Boutique Imprint at Dark Horse”).  He was the co-writer of BRZRKR, with actor Keanu Reeves, and returned to Oni for the launch of their new EC Comics line.
