GlobalComix will begin offering new Marvel Comics releases on its digital comics platform, for both subscribers and purchase, on October 15, the company announced. The new Marvel releases, which will be available day and date with print release, are being added to the package for subscribers at no additional cost, along with hundreds of older Marvel titles that will be available at the launch of the program. The GlobalComix subscription-based offering currently fields a library of over 100,000 comics.
“It’s like the GlobalComix community getting the final Infinity Stone,” GlobalComix Co-Founder and VP of Business Development Eric Tapper said in a statement accompanying the announcement. “Marvel is the biggest name in comics.”
GlobalComix recently added new DC releases to its platform day and date with print release (see “GlobalComix To Offer DCs on Day and Date“).
The expansion of GlobalComix publishers comes amid a torrent of new digital comics announcements (see “Digital Space Continues Resurgence“).
