Paper Fort Games will release Fathom, a new deep-sea exploration board game, into U.S. retail on January 13, 2026.
In this game, designed by Dan Helfer, players take on the roles of marine biologists exploring an underwater ecosystem near a fictional island. Over the course of six rounds of play, players will use their submersible to survey the unmapped depths (via tiles) in search of marine life to study. Players will gain points based on the scoring criteria for species they discover as they explore, the player with most points at the end of the game wins.
Fathom is for two to four players, ages 10 and up, and plays in 45 to 60 minutes.
Paper For Games also released Cosmoctopus into retail (see “‘Cosmoctopus’“).
