The Game Manufacturers Association Board of Directors has voted to rename GAMA, the organization announced.
GAMA will now be named GAMA: The Tabletop Game Association. The new name reflects the fact that the majority of the membership consists of people and businesses that are involved in the tabletop industry, and not necessarily other game manufacturing industries (such as slots, pinball, and arcade games). The name change narrows the scope of the organization’s activities to advocating for people and businesses revolving around tabletop play. However, the name of the organization, as a legal entity, will remain the Game Manufacturers Association.
GAMA has also revealed a new logo with the name change (see below).
