The Graphix Heartstopper graphic novel series will end with Vol. 6 and a box set in 2026, with a feature film capping off the animated series. Hardcover and paperback editions of Vol. 6 will be released in the U.S. and Canada on July 7, 2026, and a six-volume box set will street August 4, 2026.
Alice Oseman, the creator of the comics and writer of the animated series announced via the official Heartstopper Instagram last summer that shooting had wrapped on the Heartstopper Forever feature, with release planned for 2026. No specific release date has been announced. The third and final season of the Heartstopper animated series dropped on Netflix in October 2024 (see “’Heartstopper’ Trailer“).
The end of the graphic novel series has been a while coming. Oseman announced in 2023 that there would be a sixth and final volume, after originally planning to end the series with Vol. 5 (see “’Heartstopper’ Update“).
Supported by an animated series, the Graphix Heartstopper collections were the #4 webtoon property in comic stores in Spring 2025, according to ComicHub data via ICv2 (see “Top Webtoon Properties in Comic Stores“), despite the most recent volume being released in December 2023.
The webtoon, which has appeared on both the Tapas and Webtoon platforms, has accumulated over 160 million views to date, and the graphic novels have sold over 10 million copies in 39 countries worldwide, according to Graphix.
“It truly is the end of an era. I have worked on Heartstopper, in one way or another, for the best part of a decade,” Osean said in a statement accompanying the announcement. “What started as a fun side project has become something bigger than I could ever possibly have imagined.”
