Heritage Auctions will host a Dungeons & Dragons and Roleplaying Games Showcase Auction on October 16, 2025.
This auction features an array of vintage D&D rulebooks and modules. Headlining items include a D&D Original Edition Wood Grain Second Printing Boxed Set and a “Wood Grain” Third Printing Boxed Set. Each of these sets are already bid up over $2000 in online pre-bidding.
There is also a D&D Set 1: Basic Rules 12th Printing (AFA 75) on the block and multiple CGC graded modules in a CGC 9.8, including Danger at Dunwater 1E and a Five Coins for a Kingdom. In the non-D&D category, there is also TSR’s The Adventures of Indiana Jones RPG and a Marvel Super Heroes: The Role-Playing Game boxed set up for auction.
The Frank Frazetta Conan novel cover Man-Ape painting recently hammered at $13.5 million at a Heritage Comic Art Signature Auction on September 12, 2025 (see “Hammers at $13.5 million “).
