Citing the growth in sales of comics, graphic novels, manga, and RPG publishers in its catalog, Independent Publishing Group (IPG) has announced terms for direct market distribution.
The new terms are as follows:
- Retail Trade Returnable: 45% Discount, Free Freight, Net 30, and first order gets an extra 3% discount (48% total)
- Retail Trade Nonreturnable: 50% Discount, Free Freight, Net 30, and first order gets an extra 3% discount (53% total)
There is a $100 net value minimum per order.
IPG will circulate their seasonal IPG Impact catalog to all stores; the catalog will feature over 20 frontlist titles as well as IPG’s backlist. Publishers distributed by IPG include NBM Publishing (see “NBM Goes with Distributor”), Kodama (a new manga publisher), One Peace Books, SHP Comics, Dead Sky Publishing, IPI Comics, Outland Entertainment, Ponent Mon, Black Panel Press, Korero Press, ZeroZero Entertainment, and Invader Comics. IPG was also the book distributor for Tokyopop until 2024 (see “Tokyopop Moves to PRHPS”).
