Hachette Boardgames will release Mr. Postmouse’s Picnic, a new family board game by Gigamic, into retail on September 3, 2025.
This game allows families to enter the world of Canadian writer and illustrator Marianne Dubuc’s children’s books (The Lion and the Bird, Your House, My House and Mr. Postmouse’s Rounds). It is a tile-laying game where players create a path for Mr. Postmouse to move forward through the forest. The goal of this cooperative game in to help Mr. Postmouse and his friends make it to the picnic. Players can also increase the difficultly of the game by adding a Dragon to pursue Mr. Postmouse as he makes his way through the forest.
This game is for one to four players, ages 4 and up, and plays in 15 minutes. It will retail for $22.99.
Hachette Boardgames will also release Tag Team, a new arcade-inspired fighting game by Scorpion Masque (see “‘Tag Team’“).
