A Message from the Pokémon Masters EX Team (Vol. 76)
A Message from the Pokémon Masters EX Team (Vol. 76)
Greetings, Trainers.
I’m Tetsuya Iguchi, general producer of Pokémon Masters EX, here with a new message for you.
Today, we’ll focus on details about the new Sync Pairs and the events beginning around the end of May.
Neo Champions: Shining Sky-High Sync Moves Is Coming
Neo Champions: Shining Sky-High Sync Moves will begin on May 29, 2025!
Elio and Selene become the first Neo Champions from the Alola region!
As their first act as Neo Champions, the two decide to host an event to liven up Pasio.
During this event, Elio and Selene will not only be in their Champion outfits, they’ll also debut as Master Sync Pairs!
Elio (Champion) & Necrozma
Elio (Champion) & Necrozma are a Steel-type Strike Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Sprint!
One of their Passive Skills raises their Attack by six stat ranks when they enter a battle. It increases the amount of Move Gauge slots needed to use attack moves by one in exchange for powering up their moves.
Plus, successful hits with their Pokémon’s moves or Sync Move will become critical hits (except in certain circumstances). Additionally, the first time they use their Sync Move each battle, they’ll raise their team’s Sync Buff by two ranks instead of one.
Their Sunward Glory! Trainer Move reduces their Sync Move countdown by two, increases their Physical Moves ↑ Next effect by two ranks, increases their Sync Move ↑ Next effect by three ranks, and applies Alola Circle (Physical) to the allied field of play.
In addition, another Passive Skill of theirs increases their Physical Moves ↑ Next effect by two ranks and increases their Sync Move ↑ Next effect by three ranks when an ally applies a circle to the allied field of play, so they can deal some major damage with both their Sync Move and their Buddy Move (which can be activated after using their Sync Move one time)!
Selene (Champion) & Necrozma
Selene (Champion) & Necrozma are a Ghost-type Sprint Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Field!
One of their Passive Skills raises their Sp. Atk by six stat ranks when they enter a battle. Also, when their Pokémon successfully lands an attack move that targets themself or an ally, that attack’s target becomes all allies, and when their Pokémon successfully lands an attack move that targets an opponent, that attack’s target becomes all opponents.
Their Sync Move’s target becomes all opponents as well, and even if there are multiple targets, the chance of applying additional effects and the power of their moves and Sync Move are not lowered. Plus, successful hits with their moves or Sync Move will become critical hits (except in certain circumstances), making them a Sync Pair that can reliably dish out damage.
Their Lunar Moongeist Beam Buddy Move, a powerful move that normally targets one opponent, will target all opponents thanks to their Passive Skill, detailed above.
On top of that, the power of their Buddy Move is not lowered even if there are multiple targets, and it ignores Passive Skills that would reduce its damage, as well as the target’s Enduring effect, allowing Selene (Champion) & Necrozma to unleash a devastating blow to all opponents!
In addition, their Moonlit Glory! Trainer Move reduces their Sync Move countdown by two, applies Alola Circle (Special) to the allied field of play, and increases their Special Moves ↑ Next effect by three ranks. Try to make good use of it!
Also, Extreme Battle Event Battle Alola’s Best is scheduled to begin, as well as Special Battle Event Take On Elio and Selene, where you can battle Elio and Selene in their Champion outfits, so we hope you look forward to these events!
Other Events
Extreme Battle Event Say Alola to Pasio’s Best, which lets you earn each kind of Move Candy Coin and Roll Cake Coin by completing Missions, is scheduled for early June.
Also, a Legendary Gauntlet and Missions for the Trainer Gym are coming in mid-June, so we hope you work with your fellow gym members to complete the Missions!
App Update for Late May
A New Guest Arrives in the Trainer Lodge
Starting May 31, 2025, you’ll be able to invite Iris to the Trainer Lodge as a Guest!
To invite Iris, you’ll need to team up with Iris & Haxorus first.
You can team up with Iris & Haxorus by completing Chapter 9 of the Main Story’s PML Arc, so be sure to team up with them if you haven’t yet!
Future Updates
The development team is currently working on two updates scheduled to be released at the end of July.
The first update includes the addition of guide Missions aimed at players just starting Pokémon Masters EX, as well as those returning after some time. Currently active players are also welcome to participate, of course, and we encourage everyone to try completing these Missions to collect various rewards!
The second update is the addition of new permanent battle content.
This is tower-style content where the battles are divided by type, and you’ll use the appropriate Sync Pairs for each type as you aim to complete the levels.
The battles become harder as you progress deeper into the tower, with the deepest reaches being extremely difficult, so try teaming up with powerful Sync Pairs and upgrading them to complete it! Also, there will be battles where physical attacks are effective, as well as battles where special attacks are effective, so even if they’re the same type, different Sync Pairs will be useful in different battles. We hope you’ll upgrade lots of Sync Pairs before you take on this challenge.
To coincide with the release of this content, we’re planning on adding new upgrades such as a new level cap, so make good use of these upgrades to prepare your Sync Pairs.
Additionally, by progressing through this content you’ll be able to view stories that encapsulate the daily lives of various Sync Pairs on Pasio.
We hope you look forward to this new content!
What to Expect in the Next Message
Our next message is scheduled for late June. In it, we plan to share information about new Sync Pairs and events for July.
We’re always working hard to deliver updates and improvements that make the world of Pokémon Masters EX as fun as possible.
We prioritize Trainers’ feedback throughout the development process, so don’t hesitate to let us know what you think.
Until next time, thank you for playing Pokémon Masters EX.
General Producer: Tetsuya Iguchi
Note: The content mentioned in this message is currently under development. Titles, plans, update content, and update times are all subject to change.
The First Neo Champions from Alola!
Elio and Selene host an exciting event to challenge Pasio’s Trainers. Who will be the first to complete it?
Be sure to log in during the event, as we’ll also be hosting a new type of sweepstakes you can win just by playing!
