This 248-page paperback book is loaded with illustrations and information on the characters, creatures, dishes, and world of Delicious in Dungeon. This is an expanded version of the Adventurer’s Bible that was first released back in 2021 in Japan, featuring an English localization and over 70 pages of new material from the final volumes of the manga
The info in the book is quite detailed, featured each character’s age, BMI, and even the date they of their first death in the dungeon. Don’t worry–thanks to the strange nature of the dungeon, some handy resurrection magic can bring these hungry explorers back to life in case they meet an early end while exploring the labyrinth.
If you haven’t watched it yet, Delicious in Dungeon is a fun fantasy series that takes inspiration from classic dungeon-crawling RPGs like Wizardry and Dungeons & Dragons, where a group of adventurers explore a dungeon and cook up the deadly monsters they encounter into tasty dishes. The series is known for its meticulous worldbuilding, offering detailed explanations of food preparation and the ecosystems of dungeons that the cast explores.
The first season of the Delicious in Dungeon anime adaptation premiered on Netflix in 2024 and quickly earned a devoted following, but we’re still waiting on a Blu-ray release (and season two). In the meantime, the original manga is worth picking if you’re eager to see where the anime’s storyline could go next.
