Cheryl Blossom’s First Appearance Is Celebrated In Our Next Facsimile Edition

It was back in 1982 that Cheryl Blossom was introduced in the pages of Betty and Veronica 320…and Riverdale (and pop culture for that matter) hasn’t been the same since! Billed as “Riverdale’s newest bombshell” on the cover of her debut appearance, Cheryl was brought in as a way to further complicate the Archie/Betty/Veronica love triangle. Unlike Betty and Veronica though, Ms. Blossom was a bit of a wild card and a bad girl, character traits that hadn’t really been explored in Archie comics before. Attending the prestigious Pembrooke Academy with her twin brother Jason — who also made his first appearance in the issue — Cheryl is used to the finer things in life, and her silver spoon attitude often causes friction with the Riverdale townies who have lived there all of their lives.

Over the years, Cheryl Blossom has become a comics icon, and the book in which she first made the scene has become a sought-after collector’s edition. Thanks to our upcoming facsimile edition though, you can own a replica of the issue as it was originally published, including plenty of vintage ads. Out on May 7th, the book can be pre-ordered now via Lunar and Diamond distributors, as well as at our store. Don’t miss out on this milestone moment in Archie history!
