Bug Wars ramps up with the second issue selling out and going back to print

Bug Wars #2 by Jason Aaron and Mahmud Asrar has sold out completely at the distributor level. Image Comics has fast-tracked Bug Wars #2 for reprint this week in order to keep up with the swarms of reorders.

In Bug Wars #2, Slade is lost in his own backyard, prisoner of tiny bug-riding warriors known as Mytes. And in Swarm City, the most dangerous hive in all the Yard, Slade will have to learn to unleash his newfound powers…or else watch his family die.  

Bug Wars follows Slade Slaymaker, a kid from Alabama suddenly lost in a vicious world beyond his imagination, a world of marauding ant armies, spellcasting spider witches, and beetle-riding barbarians. A kingdom of tiny but deadly warriors hidden in his own backyard. The same world that saw his father eaten alive by insects now plunges young Slade into the middle of a brutal Bug War to decide the fate of his family.

Bug Wars #2, second printing (Lunar Code 0125IM897) and Bug Wars #3 Cover A by Asrar and Matthew Wilson (Lunar Code 0225IM321) and Bug Wars #3 Cover B by Adam Kubert and Laura Martin (Lunar Code 0225IM322) will all be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, April 23.
