As announced by The Hollywood Reporter, acclaimed filmmaker, director, writer, podcaster, and comic book fan Kevin Smith brings his talents to the world of Archie Comics, and a few of his friends are coming along for the ride—and Riverdale may never be the same!
ARCHIE MEETS JAY AND SILENT BOB, written by Smith with art from the legendary team of Fernando Ruiz, Rich Koslowski, Matt Herms, and Jack Morelli, is barreling into comic shops on July 9th, 2025, just in time for San Diego Comic Con. Not since Chasing Amy has the Askewniverse extended its reach into Riverdale, this time with none other than Archie Andrews finding himself working a summer job at Quick Stop alongside Randal Graves. Once Jay and Silent Bob arrive on the scene, Archie’s life—and all of Riverdale—only gets wilder from there!
This is Archie’s first comic featuring the iconic duo, and its first ever comic for mature audiences starring the classic Archie gang.
