Free League and Skybound Team Up for ‘Invincible’ RPG

Free League Publishing announced that they have teamed up with Skybound Entertainment for Invincible – Superhero Roleplaying, a new TTRPG based on the comic book by Robert Kirkland, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley.

The new TTRPG will be designed by D&D Beyond founder Adam Bradford and Tomas Harenstem. The game will allow players to create characters and assume a role in the Invincible universe. It will utilize the Year Zero Engine for the RPG mechanics.

“One of my very first tabletop roleplaying games was the old Marvel Superheroes by TSR, and making a superhero RPG has been a lifelong dream,” said Harenstam. “I think the genre, and Invincible’s more grounded and visceral take on it, is a great fit for the Year Zero Engine game mechanics.”

Invincible – Superhero Roleplaying will be launched on Kickstarter later this year. The initial product line includes a core rulebook and a starter set.

Free League also revealed The Throne of Thorns II, a new adventure book for Symbaroum RPG (see “‘Symbaroum’ Adventure Sequel“).
