For this edition of FanArt Friday, Pokémon Blog is beyond delighted to showcase the beautiful art of Fanny Salazar, also known by her pseudonym hezee.art. This gifted illustrator has participated in multiple Pokémon-related projects, including the fifth generation of Pokédex Ilustrada, organized by our friends from Ilustradoras Unidas.
Fanny has been drawing all her life, so she considers it an intrinsic part of herself. She started by drawing the cards sold at the fair, and has never stopped since then.
“I love drawing. It entertains me and makes me happy! I love art very much because it’s all I live and breathe,” she expressed enthusiastically.
Pokémon is one of the first anime series she ever watched and one of the first video games she ever played.
“The franchise has surrounded me all my life and has been a fundamental part of how I started drawing; therefore, it’s an important influence on my art. I remember when I was a child, I pretended to be a Pokémon with my sister,” Fanny shared with the Pokémon Blog Team.
Making Pokémon-related artwork makes her extremely happy. She considers it a very nice opportunity to draw something she loves deeply.
Fanny’s favorite Pokémon is none other than Magikarp, as she feels a certain kinship with him.
“Among the initials, I love Bulbasaur and Totodile,” she concluded.
