The Pokemon Company International and Fright-Rags, Inc.
Two creditors affected by the Chapter 11 filing of Diamond Comic Distributors, The Pokemon Company International and Fright-Rags, Inc. have filed reclamation claims for inventory delivered within 45 days of the Diamond Chapter 11 filing, a long-shot attempt to force the return of the goods, most of which are likely sold. The reclamation claims can also be over-ridden by liens on the inventory by Diamond’s bank, with some exceptions.
The two claims are for vastly different amounts of inventory. TCPI submitted a claim showing over $531,000 in inventory delivered to Alliance Game Distributors dozens of shipments in the 45 days prior to filing; while Fright-Rags’ claim showed delivery of 33 cases of Terminator 1984 PX Trading Cards on December 17.
TCPI was on Diamond’s list of its largest creditors, owed $280,375 (see “Largest Unsecured Creditors“).
