In our latest People on the Move round-up, we report on a new Managing Director at Tabletop Tycoon, a new VP at ACD Distribution, and a new Marketing manager at Hachette Boardgames USA.
Longtime game executive Ben Rathbone has joined Tabletop Tycoon as Managing Director, the company announced. Rathbone’s 35-year career in the games business has been concentrated in game design: he was Head of Games Design & Development at Ceaco most recently, and also had stints at Spin Master as Vice President Design – Games, and at Hasbro as VP Global Games Design. In his new role he will report to Tabletop Tycoon CEO Dan Yarrington, who said Rathbone will be, “…at the helm of our expanding team as we continue to grow our existing game lines, acquire new brands, and explore new categories.”
Chris Corbett has been promoted to Vice President of Sales at ACD Distribution from his previous position as Director – Sales Division, which he held for the previous seven years. Corbett has been in sales at ACD for over 22 years.
Niki Shults has joined Hachette Boardgames USA as Marketing Manager. Prior to moving to Hachette, she was Marketing Manager at Plaid Hat Games, beginning in 2019. Prior to that she was a content creator (Board with Life). She replaces Lindsay Schlesser (see “Schlesser Joins Hachette“), who left Hachette to go to The Op Games, where she is Digital Marketing and Communications Specialist, last fall.Source: ICv2
