Ghost Galaxy has revealed its 2025 Organized Play plans for supporting KeyForge, including local Retailer events, regional Premier events, and a world championship.
Retailer Events are intended to support local play and supporting retail stores. To attract new players, the company is offering a New Player Discovery Kit that will support up to half a dozen players over a number of weeks. Each kit includes promotional materials, six metal KeyChain sets useable during gameplay, and a prize deck for event winners.
A 2025 Store Championship series is planned to run between February 22 and March 31. Retailers can also participate in pre-release events for the Prophetic Visions set releasing in the middle of the year and Draconian Measures scheduled for late 2025. A summer event similar to last year’s Martian Civil War is planned.
Premier Events have a broader focus, including the 2025 Vault Tour where players can earn seats for the Keyforge World Championship as well as events designed for casual play. The Vault Tour will run from April to September. Regions that are not supported as part of the Vault Tour will have national championship tournaments. This represents a change from the 2024 program, intended to simplify the organized play calendar. Since there will not be a U.S. National Championship for this reason, Ghost Galaxy will host a 2025 KeyForge Gen Con Bash instead of a national tournament at that convention.
The 2025 World Championship will be held during the KeyForge Celebration 2025 convention, which will be held in Roseville, Minnesota November 6 through 9. The tournament will feature three events for the different competitive formats. The convention will also host a number of open tournaments and casual events.
Ghost galaxy released two KeyForge “special sets” last year (see “Special ‘KeyForge’ Sets to Retail”).
