Bandai will release Gundam Card Game: Gundam Assemble Starter Set, a new hybrid miniatures and TCG product, into retail on July 11, 2025.
Bandai was clearly thinking out-of-the-box with this new starter deck configuration, as it is crossover product between two recently announced product lines that reside in two different genres of the tabletop games space (see “First ‘Gundam Card Game’ Booster Set” and also, “‘Gundam Assemble’“). The Gundam Assemble Starter Sets offer players the contents of a starter deck plus Gunpla miniatures for the Gundam Assemble tabletop miniatures game. The Gundam Assemble miniatures can be placed on token cards while playing the Gundam Card Game to further enhance the play experience.
There will be four different starter decks available for Gundam Card Game (in this configuration and in a standard starter configuration): Heroic Beginnings (Blue/White deck), Wings of Advance (Green/Blue deck), Zeon’s Rush (Red/Green deck), and SEED Strike (White/Red deck). The contents of a standard starter include a ready-to-play 50-card deck, 10 Resource cards, 8 Token cards, a paper Damage counter, a rule/playsheet, and a one-card Bonus Pack. Standard displays will retail for $71.94. The Gundam Assemble Starter Sets will also include three unpainted Gunpla miniatures, and displays will retail for $209.94.
