Niantic is continuing to announce new events and content for Pokémon GO. Read on below to learn more:
The second half of this festive celebration has even more Raid Battles, Incense activities, and bonuses!
The holiday excitement keeps on coming! Just as Pokémon GO’s Holiday Part 1 event ends, the Holiday Part 2 event begins. From Sunday, December 22, at 10:00 a.m. to Friday, December 27, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time, you’ll be able to enjoy even more seasonal festivities, including the arrival of two new costumed Pokémon: Wooloo wearing holiday attire and Dubwool wearing holiday attire. You can use 50 Wooloo Candy to evolve the costumed Wooloo into Dubwool. And to top it off, lucky Trainers might even encounter a Shiny Wooloo wearing holiday attire.
There will be Raid Battles, wild Pokémon encounters, Incense-focused fun, and more. Be sure to keep an eye on one-star Raid Battles too, because lucky Trainers might encounter Shiny Cetoddle, which is making its Pokémon GO debut. Take advantage of the bonuses that will be active during the event, including 2× XP from catching Pokémon and 50% more XP from Raid Battles. Read on below for all the in-depth details!

Celebrate 12 days of Daily Adventure Incense from Wednesday, December 25, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, January 5, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time. During this time, Daily Adventure Incense will last twice as long, giving you ample opportunity to catch loads of Pokémon.
There will also be special Incense encounters on certain days where different Pokémon will be attracted to Incense. Here are the Pokémon you’ll be able to find on certain dates.
On Sunday, December 22, Tuesday, December 24, and Thursday, December 26, the following Pokémon will be attracted to Incense. Those in italics have a chance of appearing as Shiny Pokémon!

During the event, there will also be event-themed Field Research tasks that award encounters with event-themed Pokémon. Paid Timed Research will also be available for US$5.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). Complete tasks associated with this Timed Research to collect rewards including a Glacial Lure Module, two Incense, a Wooloo Jacket for your avatar, and encounters with Wooloo wearing holiday attire. Please note that the tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before Friday, December 27, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
There are also special Collection Challenges that award Stardust, Great Balls, Ultra Balls, and encounters with event-themed Pokémon. And be sure to check the in-game shop, where you can snag Staryu and Marshtomp sweaters for your avatar—the perfect outfits for this holiday season.
