Wizards of the Coast Updates Deets on ‘Magic: The Gathering: Innistrad Remastered’

Wizards of the Coast updated details for the Innistrad Remastered, a new reprint set for Magic: The Gathering. This set will hit stores on January 24, 2025 (see “‘Innistrad Remastered’“).

Innistrad Remastered offers up the greatest hits of the various Innistrad sets in one well-curated booster set. It’s chock full of desirable  reprints, such as Snapcaster Mage, Liliana of the Veil, and Emrakul, The Promised End, in a number of different treatments. This is also the first time that the legendary Edgar Markov card, which is popular in Commander, will be in a booster product.

The card treatments included in this set are fairly standard ones for Magic reprint sets these days. There will be retro frame, borderless, and showcase frame treatments in this set. The twist on borderless cards for this set comes in the form of movie poster cards. WotC has produced movie poster treatments on cards before, mostly for Secret Lair sets (see “‘Secret Lair 30th Anniversary Countdown Kit’“), and the treatments in this set are inspired by horror movie posters. There are also two specific showcase treatments in this set: showcase fang (vampires) and showcase equinox (werewolves).

The set will feature a couple different foil treatments: traditional foils and double rainbow foils. There will also be a serialized movie poster version of the Edgar Markov card in Collector Boosters (limited to 500 copies). MSRPs for packs for this set are as follows: $5.99 for a Play Booster and $29.99 for a Collector Booster.
