Hollywood news was still flowing in the week before the election, and we round it up here.

Marvel Entertainment has released a trailer (below) with footage and premiere dates for upcoming Marvel series on Disney+ through 2025.  The dates are as follows: What If Season 3 on December 22; Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man on January 29; Daredevil Born Again on March 4; Ironheart on June 24; Eyes of Wakanda on August 6; Marvel Zombies inn October 2025; and Wonder Man in December 2025.  Deadpool and Wolverine will drop on November 12.

At least one Game of Thrones theatrical feature is in early development at Warner Bros, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  A feature would be a change of the direction on the property by Warners, which so far has focused on HBO series, including House of the Dragon (see “’House of Dragon’ Renewed“), and the upcoming A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight (see “’Game of Thrones’ Spinoff News“).

Sony has revealed that Spider-Man 4 will be released on July 24, 2026, according to Variety.  Tom Holland will star, with Destin Daniel Cretton directing (see “’Spider-Man 4’ Director“).  That puts it a couple of months after Avengers: Doomsday, which is set for May 1, 2026 (see “Geek Movie Calendar – 2026“).

A new round of development is underway on the Emily the Strange property, by Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Bad Robot with Emly’s creator Bob Reger.  Academy Award-nominated writer Pamela Ribon (Nimona, Moana) has been signed to write a script.  The property, based on the graphic novels published by Dark Horse Comics, has a development history going back to 2005, most recently in 2016 from Dark Horse and Amazon Studios (see “’Emily the Strange’ Film Resurrected“).

Netflix has renewed Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft for a second season, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  The storyline will follow Croft as she follows a trail of stolen African orisha masks.  The first season of the animated series dropped a couple of weeks ago.

Crunchyroll has released an English-language trailer for Solo leveling – ReAwakening, the film recapping Season 1 with the first two episodes of Season 2, planned for theatrical release on December 6 (see “’Solo Leveling’ Gets a Date“).  The first season of the anime series hit Crunchyroll on January 6, 2024 (see “‘Solo Leveling’“).Source: ICv2
