Hasbro’s Life in Reterra board game has received a FSC Leadership Award, which is given for advancement in sustainable forest management and forest conservation, from the Forest Stewardship Council. The game “incorporates strong sustainability themes and artwork that are relatable and resonate with both parents and children,” the Council said in making the award. “All paper and wood used in Life in Reterra are FSC-certified.” (FSC is a forest certification system.)
“These remarkable organizations are leading the charge from forest stewardship to final product, inspiring us all with their commitment to responsible forest management,” FSC US President Sarah Billig said in a statement accompanying the announcement. “Their work sets a powerful example for sustainable practices across the entire supply chain, paving the way for a future where forests and the people who depend on them thrive for generations to come.”
Life in Reterra is a new Eurogame, released on Earth Day, April 22, 2024 (see “Hasbro Returns to Eurogames“).
