Marvel Comics has announced an Omnibus collecting the prestige series Marvel Fanfare, including work by Chris Claremont, Frank Miller, Mike Mignola, and more.
The 1982 anthology series aimed to feature great creators on iconic Marvel characters, such as Captain America, the Thing, and Spider-Man. It also included, at times, fully painted art and coloring innovations for the period.
This volume reprints Marvel Fanfare #1-19, which includes work by Frank Miller, Barry Windsor-Smith, Chris Claremont and Michael Golden. Additional writers include J.M. DeMatteis, Jo Duffy, Ralph Macchio, Bill Mantlo, Roger Stern, and Marv Wolfman. Additional artists include Dave Cockrum, Carmine Infantino, Gil Kane, Rick Leonardi, Mike Mignola, George Pérez, Sandy Plunkett, Marshall Rogers, Tony Salmons, Paul Smith, and Charles Vess.
The hardcover Omnibus will have two covers, one by Michael Golden (Issue #1 cover), and a direct market only cover by Frank Miller (issue #18 back cover). The book is priced at $100 for 736 pages and will release on May 13, 2025.
Marvel’s X-Men: X-Tinction Agenda Omnibus is due out tomorrow, October 30 (see “Marvel to Omnibize ‘X-Men: X-Tinction Agenda’”).
