Chaosium has launched No Time to Scream, a new release for Call of Cthulhu that offers three short-play scenarios designed for quick yet intense sessions. Each scenario is crafted to be played in around two hours, making it ideal for single evening adventures. The supplement comes with pre-generated investigators, full-color maps, and handouts to assist both players and Keepers.
The scenarios are unified by a common theme of time pressure, with the investigators facing a race against the clock. Guidance is provided for Keepers to maintain the pace and emphasize the indifferent nature of the Mythos. The supplement also offers suggestions for adjusting the scenarios to accommodate larger groups of players.
The adventures take investigators through a range of perilous situations, including a mysterious woodland cabin, a morgue with a missing corpse, and a remote distillery in the Alaskan wilderness. Each scenario presents a unique horror to confront, with the constant reminder that time is running out.
