Wizards of the Coast Teases New ‘Magic: The Gathering’ ‘Marvel’ Set

Wizards of the Coast teased Marvel Spider-Man, a new Magic: The Gathering set.

Alongside the announcement about the Secret x Marvel sets (see “‘Secret Lair x Marvel’ Superdrop“), WotC also teased the friendly neighborhood webslinger’s entrance into Magic.  The first Marvel set of 2025 will, in fact, be all about Spidey.  Beyond the date, logo, and some marketing flavor text that indicated that the cards in this set will be “from across the Spider-Verse,” not much else was revealed the set.

Speculatively, the marketing text could refer to the possible inclusion of an array of Spider-Men making an appearance from throughout the Marvel Multiverse on cards in this set.  This would coincide with what was presented in the comics (see “‘Spider-verse #1’“), and later the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse movie (see “‘Spider-Verse’ Beats ‘The Flash’“), as well as open the door for all kinds of different themed card treatments to be included in the set.
