The Legend Of Korra Limited Edition Steelbook Collection Is Steeply Discounted On Amazon

We’re living in a golden age of animation, and right now, there’s a terrific Prime Day special on for what is widely considered to be one of the finest animated series of all time. The Legend of Korra, a sequel series to Avatar: The Last Airbender, is on sale, and you can get the entire saga for just $57 (normally $98) in this Blu-ray box set.

That’s around 20 hours of content spread across several seasons, making for a pretty chunky story to enjoy in sharp high-definition. Originally meant to only run for a single season, The Legend of Korra was a critical hit after it first aired and it received three more seasons that helped flesh out the story of the new Avatar. Like its predecessor, the show told the story of a new Avatar charged with maintaining peace in the human and spirit realms, as she was the sole being capable of wielding all four elements at any given time.

Set in the heart of Republic City, a melting pot of fire-, air-, earth-, and water-bending cultures, the series saw Korra take on insidious movements, learn about her multiple lives, and master her Avatar powers. Animated by Studio Mir, the show has incredible action and amazing locations, while the storytelling is surprisingly mature and dark for an animated show. For the special features, you’re getting several featurettes, audio commentary tracks, and each season disc is housed inside a stunning steelbook case.

If you’d like to go back even further, the complete Avatar: The Last Airbender series is also on sale for $21 on Blu-ray. Alternatively, you can get both series in their complete editions for $26.50, but you won’t get the collector’s steelbook cases here. In other Blu-ray deals, you can get the definitely-not-for-kids Castlevania series at their best prices yet–including the recently released first season of Castlevania: Nocturne–you can save big on the Indiana Jones movies, and this Picard Collection is a lot of Star Trek for just $148.
