Giimoe Games has introduced Roborover 2077: Last Hope, a cooperative board game set in a futuristic world facing ecological collapse and the breakdown of society. In this game, 1-4 players act as explorers operating from a technologically advanced fortress. The goal is to gather resources, produce necessities, and survive in a hostile environment.
Players explore the world outside the fortress, collecting resource cards such as water, food, and energy cubes. These resources are used to produce essentials, like energy water and vitality soup, to sustain life within the fortress. Alongside managing these resources, players must deal with app-driven events that bring unexpected challenges, such as natural disasters or mechanical failures. Success relies on using tech-gear cards to handle these events and maintain the fortress’s systems.
The game offers two paths to victory. Players can either repair all malfunctioning components of the fortress or find the correct survival token card. Both strategies involve careful resource management and cooperation. For solo players, the game features a mode in which they control the team of explorers, racing against time to survive and unlock new locations.
The Kickstarter campaign for Roborover 2077: Last Hope has already surpassed its initial goal, with $89,182 pledged by 341 backers. The campaign runs until October 31.
