Skybound, Image Comics, and Hasbro have revealed the first batch of all-new “Camouflage Variant” covers from superstar artist Francis Portela for the smash hit series G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero. From legendary series writer Larry Hama, artist Chris Mooneyham, and colorist Francesco Segala, the iconic series’ issue #311 will arrive in comic book shops on November 20, 2024.
Spanning issues #311-320, Portela’s “Camouflage Variants” each spotlight an iconic G.I. JOE character against a minimalist camouflage background, complimenting their signature looks.
The first wave of covers revealed today span issues #311-#315 and showcase, in order, Snake-Eyes, Duke, Baroness, Stalker and Cobra Commander.
In addition to the new “Camouflage Variant” 1:10 incentive cover series by Portela, G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero continues with main covers by the incomparable Andy Kubert and colorist Tamra Bonvillain and an open-to-order variant cover with a black and white version of Kubert’s main covers.
