Dragori Games has announced a new addition to its Tanares series, Tanares Expeditions: Central Sea. This upcoming board game, now in preview on Gamefound, is set to launch its campaign on November 19th. Known for prior releases like Tanares Adventures and Odalin, Dragori aims to offer a standalone game that brings a new setting to the established Tanares universe.
Tanares Expeditions: Central Sea is designed for 1-4 players, who will take on roles as pirate heroes facing a powerful threat to the world of Tanares. The game combines dungeon-crawler mechanics with elements inspired by roguelites, as players navigate various quests, building heroes and creating impactful combat combinations that evolve with gameplay.

Lead game designer Alexandre Aboud shared that the game structure draws inspiration from titles like Slay the Spire, aiming to bring adaptation and growth to the mechanics. The game’s system allows players to contribute to combat strategy even outside of their turns, enhancing cooperative gameplay.

Dragori has announced four heroes for the game so far, with additional characters expected to be introduced. As a standalone release, Central Sea does not require previous Tanares titles for full gameplay.
