Niantic is continuing to announce new events and content for Pokémon GO. Read on below to learn more:
Get psyched for special catch bonuses, the debut of Hatenna, Beldum in Max Battles, and more!
Pokémon GO’s Psychic Spectacular event has Psychic-type Pokémon on everyone’s minds! From September 18 to September 22, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time, Trainers will be able to encounter a mind-blowing array of Psychic-type Pokémon (and Pokémon of a similarly whimsical nature) in the wild. Be sure to keep a Calm Mind and aim your Poké Balls with care during the event—successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws or better will award additional Candy, and Trainers level 31 and up will also have an increased chance to receive Candy XL. That’s not all—Trainers will also earn 2× Catch Stardust during the event.
Hatenna, the Calm Pokémon, will be featured during the Psychic Spectacular event as the latest Pokémon from the Galar region to debut in Pokémon GO! Gather Hatenna Candy if you’re after its Evolutions, Hattrem and Hatterene. These Pokémon are known for being reclusive due to their sensitivity to others’ emotions, but don’t let that discourage you. Keep calm, and catch on!
Hatenna may be headlining the Psychic Spectacular, but plenty of other Pokémon will also appear more frequently in the wild during the event. Pokémon in italics below have a chance of appearing as Shiny Pokémon!

Trainers can GO Big with the Steel- and Psychic-type Beldum (and its Evolutions) as it appears in one-star Max Battles for the first time during the Psychic Spectacular. Don’t miss this chance to add one of the more powerful Steel-type attackers to your Max Battle repertoire!
Manifest more encounters with event-themed Pokémon—including the newly Hatenna—by spinning PokéStops for event-exclusive Field Research tasks! Additionally, Morelull encountered via Field Research will have a greater chance of being Shiny than those found in the wild.

Tickets cannot be purchased with PokéCoins.
Please note that Timed Research expires. The tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
