Emberleaf is a competitive card-dancing and tile-placement game that invites players into the role of Emberlings, determined to rebuild their homes in the heart of an ancient forest. Designed for 1-5 players, the game combines strategic resource management and tactical decisions, as players explore the wilderness, clear dangerous areas, and construct new homes for their kin.
The game introduces an innovative mechanic called “card dancing,” where hero cards are placed within a moving grid. Players can activate skills, build combinations, and trigger effects at key moments to gain an advantage. As Emberlings, players will also recruit heroes with unique abilities, manage resources to ensure their village thrives, and navigate the challenges presented by a limited amount of space in the forest. The goal is to guide their Emberling village to prosperity, while competing against others who have the same mission.
Launched on Kickstarter, Emberleaf has quickly gained traction, with $104,543 pledged so far, significantly exceeding its $34,229 goal. The campaign runs until October 10, with 21 days remaining.
