Pandasaurus Games, in collaboration with Catch Up Games, is set to release Rivages in November, a draft-and-write game designed by Joachim Thôme (Tribes of the Wind), with artwork by Xavier Gueniffey Durin (Tokaido, Seasons). This game invites players to explore the islands of Myr, searching for ancient wisdom and treasures.
Rivages accommodates 1-5 players and is designed for ages 10 and up, with a playtime of 20-30 minutes. Players start with their own map of an island, divided into colored areas, and on each turn, they will choose one of two cards, mark symbols on their map, and pass the cards to a neighboring player. By exploring areas, reaching objectives, finding treasures, and advancing along a personal wisdom tree, players work to collect parchments, which determine the winner at the end of the game.
Players can also unlock new islands by reaching boats, providing further exploration opportunities throughout the game. With a price of $24.95, Rivages aims to offer a mix of strategy and simplicity for a wide range of players.
The official release date is yet to be confirmed, but the game will be available in the U.S. and Oceania in November.
