Heroes of Might & Magic III Board Game Returns to Gamefound with Three New Expansions

The board game adaptation of Heroes of Might & Magic III is returning to crowdfunding with three new expansions: Stronghold, Conflux, and Cove. The campaign, launching on Gamefound tomorrow, September 17th, has already garnered significant attention, with over 37,000 followers signed up ahead of the launch. There is anticipation that this campaign could surpass the success of the first, which raised €3,834,885 from nearly 27,000 backers in late 2022.

The new expansions will bring additional depth to the game, introducing new mechanics such as underground passages, islands, seas, and portals. The release of these expansions is expected to attract not only returning backers but also new supporters who missed the initial campaign. The Cove faction, from the fan-made “Horn of the Abyss” mod, will make its official appearance in the game, thanks to Archon Studio’s collaboration with the HotA Crew.

Backers of the campaign will have access to everything that was offered during the first campaign, alongside the new content.

Archon Studio’s team members have expressed their long-standing connection to the original Heroes of Might & Magic III video game, highlighting the passion that has driven this project. They credit the enduring popularity of the game to its dedicated community and the nostalgia it evokes for both long-time players and newcomers to the series.

“Heroes of Might and Magic III is the game on which I’ve spent the most time. Year 2000 – my first PC. I had “Heroes” installed, which I still play to this day. I change my computers – but the game remains the same. Working on this project brings me great joy.” – Michał Tukan, Project Manager

The campaign offers incentives for early backers, such as a Crag Hack bust miniature for those who follow the campaign before it goes live, and a dice tray for those who pledge within the first 48 hours.
