A GoFundMe campaign has been established for Paul Sawyer, following his recent diagnosis with stage 4 Glioblastoma. Organized by Paul’s daughter Holly Sawyer, the fundraiser aims to support the necessary adaptations and medical care to enhance his quality of life.
Paul Sawyer, renowned in the wargaming community, was diagnosed with a severe form of brain cancer after falling ill at a conference in London in April. Initially believed to have had a stroke, subsequent medical examinations confirmed the cancer diagnosis.
The prognosis suggests a life expectancy of 12-14 months from the diagnosis, despite aggressive treatment efforts to manage the tumor. In response, his family has prioritized making his remaining time as comfortable as possible.
The global wargaming community has shown considerable support, prompting the establishment of a GoFundMe page to assist with expenses not covered by the NHS, including home modifications and mobility aids.
Contributions to assist Paul Sawyer during this period can be made through the Paul Sawyer GoFundMe Donation Page.
