Cryptozoic Entertainment has launched a Kickstarter campaign for “DC Deck-Building Game: Arkham Asylum.” This new campaign builds upon the success of previous campaigns in 2023 and 2024, which collectively raised nearly $2 million.
The current Kickstarter introduces a base set focused on Batman’s Rogues Gallery, allowing players to explore the darker narratives of Gotham City’s infamous villains. The campaign also offers backers a chance to pledge for two versions of a new Travel Box, the Batman Edition and The Joker Edition, made from premium materials and designed with a fold-out playmat.
Additional offerings include two Crossover Pack expansions, an expansion for the “DC Deck-Building Game: Rebirth,” an expansion inspired by the “Super Friends” TV series, and various game accessories such as 2DZ acrylic standees, resin tokens, and card sleeves. The new Travel Box and the acrylic standees are highlighted as significant additions to the game’s accessories.
“DC Deck-Building Game: Arkham Asylum” features art covers by Philip Tan and Matteo Scalera, the latter being a Kickstarter exclusive that depicts The Joker and Harley Quinn. The game also introduces several expansions, including the “Crisis Expansion Pack 5 — Death Metal,” which adds a cooperative gameplay dimension, allowing players to collaborate to overcome crisis events.
The Kickstarter campaign, which started today and will run until October 10, quickly surpassed its initial goal of $100,000. It offers various pledge tiers starting at $75, with delivery of preorder items expected by July 2025.
