In a spirited fusion of tabletop lore and craft beverages, New Holland Brewing Co. has teamed up with Wizards of the Coast to mark the 50th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons with special edition drinks. The collaboration promises to add a touch of magic to the brewery’s storied Dragon’s Milk lineup.
The limited edition offerings, dubbed D20 Brew Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout and Origin Mead Cask Bourbon Whiskey, are set to hit select retailers and New Holland Brewing’s locations starting in in November.
Brett Vanderkamp, the grandmaster and founder of New Holland Brewing, waxed poetic about the alliance, stating, “Brewed with the same passion that fuels D&D adventures, Dragon’s Milk has a nationally renowned reputation as a bold, legendary beverage,” He added that the collaboration not only celebrates D&D’s rich history but also champions the shared ethos of crafting savored moments and forging friendships—presumably without the risk of encountering dragons.
Dragon’s Milk itself is no stranger to accolades, having clinched a hoard of awards including Gold at the New York International Beer Competition and Silver at the Great American Beer Festival. The stout’s bourbon cousin, Dragon’s Milk Origin Small Batch Bourbon, has also amassed treasures like a double gold medal at the 2022 New York International Spirits Competition.
