For this edition of FanArt Friday, Pokémon Blog is elated to feature the art of the marvelous Angelato (angelato_01). She was one of the talented artists who participated in the project “Pokémon Fan: Dibuja Tu Equipo Soñado (Pokémon Fan: Draw Your Dream Team),” organized by Ilustradoras Unidas to celebrate the First Anniversary of FanArt Friday.
Art is a crucial aspect of Angelato’s life: “I started drawing in my early childhood. Back then, I did it because I liked to draw animals. But now, it has evolved into a way of personal expression where I can share my likes and feelings. It’s nice to explore new styles and forms and create new things not to show them to others but to show oneself. I consider every drawing to be an achievement in itself.”
The Pokémon franchise is also a significant part of her life because it has provided her with plenty of experience and artistic inspiration throughout the years.
“I love animals, and having a space with many creatures I can have in my team and discover each species is fascinating. And when you add the adventure and exploration elements into the mix, it creates a beautiful overall experience.”
“Making art about Pokémon is having the opportunity to make ‘real’ something you can live through a video game, where you can be a part of the Pokémon World and have your loyal and beloved Pokémon by your side,” she explained to the Pokémon Blog Team.
Her favorite Pokémon is none other than the elegant Altaria.
“I really love her appearance. She looks fluffy and soft, and I adore cute and soft things. Besides, she is very powerful (or at least, has been one whenever she’s part of my team). I think it was a good decision to capture that Swablu to make her stronger and evolve her,” she concluded.
